As you may have noticed from all the stuff we’re doing recently, we’re pretty busy around here. So busy, in fact, that we realized we needed help. Proposals were taking too long to get out, finding new clients was taking a back seat to just getting work done for our existing clients, and several projects were in need of some serious management attention. They’re all good problems, honestly, for a company that is constantly growing, but we couldn’t sustain it without some great help.
Enter, Shawn Lowe.

Shawn has joined the OC team as our Director of Operations, and he’s hit the ground running,
You might not know his face, but you’ll recognize his voice if you’ve listened to local radio in the last 35 years. He still works in radio part time on 102.3 The Coyote, and his love for music extends to his other venture, Prosound Productions, which manages music festivals and runs smaller events like music bingo at some local establishments. As if that weren’t enough, he and his significant other, Lurana, go to a ton of concerts and music festivals.
“When I grew up, I wanted to be a pro baseball player,” Shawn shares. “But my love for music quickly took over, and then I wanted to be a DJ on the radio.”
That future-pro-baseball-player-turned-DJ grew up in Creston, graduated from Rochelle Township High School, and studied at Kishwaukee College. Along the way, he’s held positions at logistics companies, as the aforementioned radio DJ, and, most recently, he was the Assistant Director of Athletics Marketing for NIU.
He’s known Brian and Amy Oster, our fearless leaders, for years and has worked with them on several community projects and on local boards. So when we decided we needed help, his name was one of the first that came up. Thankfully, he was open to the idea, and the rest is fairly recent history.

“Working at OC is a breath of fresh air that is so badly needed in today’s workforce,” explains Shawn. “OC values people for who they are and what they bring to the table and helps to promote a positive work environment, creating a culture that people want to be around.”
We’re excited he feels that way, as we strive for exactly that. And we’re more excited that he’s decided to join us—and not just because he and Lurana have three beautiful dogs…
